Happy New Year, everyone!
I have been out of the loop for a while and I have so much to share. 2021 was a full year for me. I had a baby! My niece started kindergarten! I left my teaching position! There’s so much I could say about even just one of those things. I’m ready to reflect on the past year, and I also feel very optimistic for 2022!
Time really does fly when you’re having fun! I am currently taking time off from teaching to stay at home with my son. My baby boy is 6 months old. Things are starting to slow down a little and I’m getting a little more sleep. But not much!

Something else that’s crazy? I left my teaching position midyear 20-21 to stay home and have a safe and healthy pregnancy. It was the best thing for me and my baby boy and it actually worked out really well for the school. It was unexpected and nuts and I will share more about that. I left my job exactly 1 year ago today!
I think 2022 is going to be a good year. I hope it will be a productive year. I want to produce more of my Teacher Scripts and write more blog posts. I feel like I can make a difference for teachers out there.
I want to spend quality time with my family. Do some getaways. I’m going to read one book a month. I used to read so much. I stopped reading before bed in 2015 when I got Netflix on my laptop. I’m halfway through A Walk in the Woods, by Bill Bryson. Added bonus, I sleep great when I read in bed! I am cooking more in my Instant Pot, and the learning is fun (and tasty)! Also in 2022, I want to try the air fryer that I received for Christmas in 2020 that’s still in the box!
I send my best to all the teachers out there. We are living through unprecedented times. Here’s to 2022, and a new year of making choices that make you feel good.
